Meet Karen L. Ray

I design and create nature-inspired jewelry, often from recycled and repurposed materials, that are unique and whimsical for people who thrive in being different and expressing their personality through their jewelry.

I’ve been creating jewelry for over 20 years, but have recently retired and started working on jewelry full-time.

I work with a variety of materials and techniques (silver fabrication/casting and cold connections with found objects) — using recycled materials whenever possible. I primarily draw my inspiration from nature, especially the beautiful NC mountains.

I’ve shown my work in nationally juried shows and am the author of Wonderful Wearable Wire, a wire working book that’s been in circulation for over 20 years.
